Monday 11th March 2024 A 21 day sacred journey to the Cross of Jesus Christ.

A 21 day sacred journey to the Cross of Jesus Christ.
Dear Friends, God willing we hope to journey with Jesus on that final week of His life, culminating in His death, burial and resurrection..This is so vast and the best exercise in the Spirit is to read all four gospels starting from the triumphal entry into Jerusalem, upto His resurrection and ascension from the Mount of Olives. ie: the end of all four gospels.

And while reading prayerfully , to allow the Holy Spirit to teach us and make HCF Australia hearts burn with love and zeal towards our Lord and a broken world.

Please pray that the Holy Spirit will guide us to pick those portions and events which He wants us to share .
And please do add your valuable comments on these events and scriptures or related issues . May we never be the same again after this journey with Jesus.

As writing will be too long we hope to make audio. Please feel free to delete if this is clogging your phone. Sorry if it is too much Arul on behalf of HCF South Asia

17th March Sunday

He is not here;He has risen, just as He said. Come See Go Tell He has risen from the dead. Matthew 28 verses 5 to 7 The angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, for I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. He is not here; he has risen, just as he said. Come and see the place where he lay. Then go quickly and tell his disciples : He has risen from the dead and is going ahead of you into Galilee. There you will see Him. Now I have told you.

Martin Luther said, ” The words, Christ is risen from the dead,  should be inscribed in such large letters that we should be unable to see anything else, not even heaven and earth”.

When IHWH, God our Father raised Jesus Christ from the dead it is as if this was part B of God’ s answer to His cry on the cross, It is finished ! Part A happened immediately at the cross, when there was an earthquake and the rocks split, the veil of the temple . was torn from top to bottom and even some of the the graves of the saints opened. Yet their bodies remained in the grave.

But part B was as if the LORD said, ” Yes, My Beloved Son , IT IS FINISHED.! You are My Beloved Son , in you I am well pleased. In your atoning death My justice is satisfied”

And God raised Jesus Christ from the dead and those in the open graves rose up and walked the streets of Jerusalem.

Dear Friends in the next two weeks before Easter, may we bask and glory and be radically transformed by the truth of the Resurrection of Jesus Christ with a human body. Resurrection means here raised with a human body, strangely familiar, with the stigmata of the cross, but gloriously different!
Hallelujah !

Christ the Lord is risen today, Alleluia!
Earth and heaven in chorus say, Alleluia!
Raise your joys and triumphs high, Alleluia!
Sing, ye heavens, and earth reply, Alleluia!

2 Love’s redeeming work is done, Alleluia!
Fought the fight, the battle won, Alleluia!
Death in vain forbids him rise, Alleluia!
Christ has opened paradise, Alleluia!

3 Lives again our glorious King, Alleluia!
Where, O death, is now thy sting? Alleluia!
Once he died our souls to save, Alleluia!
Where’s thy victory, boasting grave?
Alleluia!

4 Soar we now where Christ has led, Alleluia!
Following our exalted Head, Alleluia!
Made like him, like him we rise, Alleluia!
Ours the cross, the grave, the skies, Alleluia!

5 Hail the Lord of earth and heaven, Alleluia!
Praise to thee by both be given, Alleluia!
Thee we greet triumphant now, Alleluia!
Hail the Resurrection, thou, Alleluia!

Hallelujah !

And let us never forget this Resurrection was for us, for all mankind. For you and me and us all. For His Resurrection guarantees our resurrection, provided we renounce all other avenues of pleasing God and merit based religions and come to Jesus Christ as those who are dead in sin and need nothing less than a resurrection.

20th March 2024 The trials of Jesus

After His arrest outside the Garden of Gethsemane Jesus was subjected to six trials. They were mostly a mockery of justice, but our dear

Savior went through them all for us. Most of the time He remained silent, as He was substituting there for all mankind. Yet when He spoke they were profound words that we need to allow to sink deep into our hearts..

1. Trial befor Annas the fox like former Chief Priest

2. Trial in the night before a hastily summoned Sanhedrin. Caiaphas the High Priest presiding at this trial.
From tomorrow we will consider some startling, stunning truths from this second trial.

3. An early morning mock trial before the full Sanhedrin .

4. Early morning trial before Pilate , the Roman Governor

5. Trial before Herod

6. Trial again before Pilate .
Then sentenced to immediate crucifixion..

Man of sorrows what a name
for the Son of God who came,
ruined sinners to reclaim:
Hallelujah, what a Savior !

The seventh Trial

Yet there was one unseen, yet most important Bar of Justice before whom Jesus stood. This is the unseen trial of justice before the Judge of the whole earth, the LORD Himself.
Here Jesus stood as our substitute. He stood there in our place, as a guilty sinner.. He bore the full unadulterated, undiluted wrath of God against sin, as our substitute, silent, suffering, slaughtered LAMB OF GOD. And through this made a way for God to be just and still justify us sinful people and declare us ‘not guilty’ !
All this because God so loved the world..
Hallelujah! What a Savior!

Bearing shame and scoffing rude,
in my place condemned he stood,
sealed my pardon with his blood:
Hallelujah, what a Savior!
